RISE UP!!!!

Yes I keep saying it…this is what I mean;

So we have a group of leaders (of the 535 plus strong), who seem to believe that cutting funding to educate our young folks is somehow NOT morally wrong. Since when is providing quality education and training for all Americans ransoming your future? So now we have a dilema I think, but correct me if I’m wrong, how is it that they want to hear the music but make us pay for the song?

Now our school systems with all the funding cuts have become a royal mess. So not only are the young being poorly tended to in the classroom, but I hear we are drugging them too so they will sit “quietly” and endure their duress. If a lucky few happen to escape and do what’s not expected and graduate, we reserve the best punishment for them, the brightest, the smartest, they get to go to the over-priced University of their choice. Not with grants and scholarships because they’ve been cut, but with over-bearing long term loans of the six digit kind, that will take them at least a decade to climb from behind. So they survive and thrive and graduate, over coming the burdens they’ve have to navigate. So what awaits our shining stars? Two years or more of job searches waiting for the opportunity to be underpaid. Now their credit is ruined before they start, and those few companies that are hiring have posted these signs “Unemployed and BAD Credit? You need NOT apply!”

On the other end of this tireless press now they’ve cut down and cut back and cut out the chance for elder and more experienced folks to be able to retire at a decent age. Even though they’ve prolonged our lives with expensive drugs, they charge us more for them and then make us work until we’re disabled to pay for them. That’s one book end that’s continually squeezing in, because now there’s talk that our representatives want to raise the retirement age again!

No new workers allowed in, no older workers can afford to leave, but they put us out in record numbers and just divide up the work, so you need more drugs to keep up. And you just hang on hoping no one dies, because they’re not going to replace them, just pass their work on to you. And you just hang on hoping you still have a job tomorrow, because you have lost all your savings, and can’t retire, and can’t help your young ones who can’t get started…..

Okay, so you say over 85% of American’s have jobs….how nice for us fortunate majority. How blessed we are to carry the day. But what happened to the American way? Where ALL persons were supposed to carry their own weight. Where opportunity was supposed be the rule not the exception? Maybe, I’m just too old-skool for this century. Character means nothing, the truth even less. Education doesn’t even give you choices, God forbid, it would mean a job.

I can’t help but to think that this system has run it’s course… The have’s want to have more, the barely have’s feel that slipping away, and the number of have-nots is growing everyday. Most of us “barely-have’s” are only a decision away from have not, and the have-nots see the opportunities to have slipping away more every day.

So what do we do? Do we just lay there and die? Do we just rollover, call it a day, commit suicide? Do we throw in the towel and just say, that’s the way it has to be? Or do we find within ourselves the fight it takes, to STOP what we see!

I say, we might be struggling; I say we might be down; I say I’ve fallen a few times, but they CAN’T be allowed to KEEP US DOWN. I say we DO have the power to force a dramatic change. I say we DO have a voice we can use to begin to RELIEVE this aweful strain. I say we need to use it, to tell them loud and proud. This is not how I would have my country be, not for me or my child! They want us to be their Twitter friends, then send them their wanted tweets. They want to hear from us on FACEBOOK, let’s give them a lovely treat! Find your leaders in your town, in your state, all around…see where their facebook and twitter accounts are and tell them who we really are… Don’t sit silent and let this pass, Use the power you have while it still lasts. In 2012 (just a few month’s away) they apply again, MAKE THEM PAY if they won’t hear you!

Rise UP and tell it! Rise UP and shout IT! Rise UP and send it! Rise UP and DEFEND your rights to be an American with the chance to BE ALL YOU CAN be. If they are going to take our $174,500 per year, then damnit make them earn it! Make them HEAR US! RISE UP!!!!!!

PRAY – LISTEN – and then ACT! RISE UP!!!!!

Life’s “Pause” Button

It would seem in my life, that there would often come times; When I see and know what I think I want, or at least get excited about what I think I find; Only to realize that right then its out of reach or too expensive but always on my mind.

It could be that latest electronic toy, that costs enough to make it difficult to enjoy, if you hasten the purchase before you can really know if its something you’d regularly deploy;

Maybe its that girl or guy that has recently caught your eye; but you know you’re kinda shy, or you can’t really figure why you’re interested or what you would do with ‘em if you had them?

So you reach back into your mind and you press PAUSE;  for what you believe is just CAUSE. You don’t want your feet to run out ahead, or your tongue to wag and cause further dread,  or your hands to grab, before you’re willing to risk a broken-heart’s stab.

So to try to explain the complexity; to put fat on the anorexity [sic], or to calm the fears of your anxiety, the only mind-picture I can draw that resembles life’s cause, is to simply say I believe sometimes in our lives – We press “PAUSE”

Kindness, Grace, and Love
