Don’t Say Goodbye
December 31st, 2008So this year is heading out the door, I can’t say I’m sorry to see her leave. She brought me tears, and mega-change. I had to pay for my thrills more than usual and only time will tell if they were worth buying. I experienced some of the highlights of my days, and some of the lowest points you can feel. 2008 was a hellish roller coaster, and my stomach doesn’t do well on those rides any more. So tonight I won’t say goodbye to her. I won’t even acknowledge that she invaded my space for the last 366 (yeah it was leap year) days. I’m too busy celebrating my new love - Ms 2009 - and her best friend - HOPE. I get them both at midnight and I pray they love me well for the next 365, so I never have to regret NOT saying goodbye to 08….
